Armed robbery on Ongley Street

Nassau County police are investigating an armed robbery on Ongley Street in Rockville Centre on Dec. 19.

According to police officials, the 52-year-old male victim was walking near the intersection of North Long Beach Road at 6:15 a.m. when he saw a black male deliberately cross the street to approach him. After running away, the victim fell to the ground and was confronted by the suspect.

The suspect pointed a handgun at him and demanded that he “give me all your money.” The victim, who was uninjured, surrendered $22 in cash and his cell phone. The suspect ran off northbound on North Long Beach Road.

The robber was described as 5-feet-7, wearing all black clothing, including a ski mask and gloves.
