Former Rockville Centre resident Susan Williams appeared in court on March 31 for a conference before Nassau County Court Judge Joseph Calabrese with her attorney, John Carman. Williams, 43, was arrested on March 4 on conspiracy and criminal solicitation charges after allegedly offering an undercover Nassau County police detective $20,000 to kill her husband. The pair had been going through a difficult divorce.

A week earlier, bail for Williams was reduced to $500,000 bond or $500,000 cash. It had originally been set at $1 million bond or $500,000 cash. Williams was also ordered to surrender her passport to the district attorney’s office.

If convicted, Williams faces up to 25 years in jail. She is due back in court on May 11.
