Rockville Centre, Nassau County and MTA police units join chase

Police apprehended a bank robbery suspect in a Marion Place backyard shortly after 10:40 Friday morning after he allegedly robbed TD Bank on Merrick Road and lost a shoe as he was fleeing.
Rockville Centre police were joined by units from Nassau County's Robbery Squad, Bureau of Special Operations, Emergency Services Unit and a K9 officer from the 7th Precinct as they pursued the suspect on foot. A K9 unit from the MTA Police, as well as Nassau County Helicopter 6 also joined in the search.
The bank teller, manager and Inspector Glenn Quinn from Rockville Centre's Police Department, who saw the suspect during the chase, were brought to the scene to identify him.
