A team from South Side High School will participate in Round 1 of the television quiz show, “The Challenge,” competing against students from Plainedge High School. The match will air on the MSG Varsity Channel (Channel 14) this Sunday, Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. Representing South Side are Nicolas Aldana (team alternate), Caitlyn Brady, Justin Charles, Gregory Rizzo and Christopher Wright (team captain). Their academic advisor is Pamela Rakeman, far left. The students are pictured with Jared Cotter, who serves as moderator and will quiz the competing high school teams on their knowledge of history, arts and literature, current events, math and science.
