County dedicates OEM vehicle in Callahan's honor

Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano and members of the county’s Office of Emergency Management held a dedication ceremony on Monday, Sept. 26, of the OEM Command Vehicle to honor the memory of the late James Callahan III, commissioner of OEM and Malverne deputy mayor who died on May 26.

Check the Herald next week for photos of the dedication ceremony, which took place at the Applied Science Center for Homeland Security in Bethpage, and included remarks by Mangano; Callahan’s widow, Patricia Canzoneri-Callahan; and Michael Balboni, former deputy secretary for New York State Public Safety.
