Fairy tales come to life in Centre Stage show

Last week, students at South Side High School put on their annual Centre Stage production, filling the school’s auditorium for two straight nights.

The show, “Into the South Side Woods,” was written by Ellen White, who runs the Centre Stage program.

Centre Stage is a long-running program at South Side that pairs special needs children with buddies to conceive and perform a special musical show, filled with dancing, singing and acting. Every student gets a part in the show.

This year’s show was based off the musical “Into the Woods” and featured a plethora of fairy tale and Disney characters working together to lift a curse that was accidentally placed on an innocent baker.
