Kids have been having fun in the sun — and when it’s too hot, a blast in the cool air — at the John A. Anderson Recreation Center’s youth summer programs.
The village’s department of recreation offers summer sports leagues for children, including basketball. In addition, the Summer Playground program provides kids with a variety of activities, including athletics, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games and special events.
Children can also register for trips to local attractions, which take place after regular program hours.
Registration for most programs is ongoing until spaces are full. Residents can visit rockvillecentre.recdesk.com, make an account and sign up. Additionally, the 2019-20 recreation program brochure is now available on .
