On May 2, the Rockville Centre Lions Club held its third Annual Dinner in the Dark fundraiser.
Guests are blindfolded for the meal, giving them the opportunity to see what it is like for visually impaired people to do something as simple as eat dinner.
In addition to being a fundraiser, the Lions Club also honored two residents for their service and dedication to Rockville Centre: Catherine Muscente, director of development at Molloy College, and Michael Caffrey, one of the founders of the RVC Youth Council. Portions of the money raised at the dinner will be donated to the Molloy College Capital Campaign and the Youth Council.
