Britt soon joined County Federal Savings and Loan Association where she enjoyed a successful career, eventually attaining the title of Vice-President & Secretary — the first woman vice-president of the Association, which at the time was one of New York state’s largest savings and loans. Shortly before her retirement, County Federal merged with Astoria Federal Savings and Loan Association.

Survivors include sisters Margaret “Peg” Golden of Rockland, Maine and Mary Alice Duckers of Atlantic Highlands, N.J.; brothers Joseph and wife Eileen Britt of Sarasota, and Edward and wife Margaret “Marge” Britt of Castleton, N.Y.

Her funeral will take place from Jennings Funeral Home and Crematory. A memorial Mass will be held on April 16 at noon at the Church of the Incarnation, Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota.
