Newcomers and local salon support Camp ANCHOR

The stylists and colorists at Peter Frank Salon and Color Group on N. Long Beach Road pampered nearly 40 women who attended the recent Rockville Centre Newcomers Club event at the salon.

Salon owner Frank Rumore donated services that included manicures, color, haircuts, hi-lights and blow-outs to the attendees. Of her new color and cut, past Newcomers Club board member Alyssa Sepe said, “I love it! This is a wonderful event and I thank Frank and his staff.”

The Rockville Centre Newcomers Club is a non-profit, social organization made up of village residents. The club welcomes new residents and facilitates their involvement in community activities. Each year, it hosts a number of social functions and donates the proceeds to charity.

The club’s fundraising this year will benefit Camp ANCHOR in Lido Beach that is dedicated to Assisting the Needs of Children living with Handicaps through Organized Recreation.
