A portion of Merrick Road near S. Village Avenue was closed on the morning of Nov. 27 as the village’s emergency services unit was joined by workers from Nassau County to clean up several slicks of oil that apparently leaked from an unidentified fuel truck that had

travelled east on Merrick Road.
