Olivia “Dolly” McDougal

Former Rockville Centre resident Olivia L. McDougal, known as “Dolly” died peacefully on Aug. 21 at the Walnut Creek Nursing Center in Dayton, Ohio. She was 94. A 1935 graduate of South Side High School who was married to her late husband at St. Agnes Cathedral in 1939, she was also a former resident of Garden City and the College Harbor/Allegro Retirement Community in St. Petersburg, Fla.

McDougal is survived by her son, Edward and her daughter-in-law Sheila McDougal of Rockville Centre and their children Danielle Saillor, Christine McDougal, Jennifer Benck and Terrence Strong; son Peter and daughter-in-law Monica of Coral Gables, Fla. and their son Charlie; son Patrick and daughter-in-law Victoria of Portland, Ore. and their children Lydia and Chloe; her daughter Maureen and son-in-law Fred Willits of Kettering, Ohio and their children Rick (Leslie), David (Denise) and Jessica (John) Archibald. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Burns, of California.

A private service was held in Dayton for family and close friends. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a future date. The

family requests that any memorial contributions be made to Dolly’s favorite charity, The Salvation Army.

Long time Rockville Centre resident Dominic Repetto died on Sept. 8. A graduate of South Side High School's class of 1953, he went on to graduate from Harvard University. He was the beloved husband of Carol (nee: Schroeder); the loving and devoted father of Randy (Stephen) Davis; Tracy (Frederick) Seeba; Paul (Alice); and Christopher (Jania) Repetto. He was the adored grandfather of eight. A funeral Mass was said at St. Agnes Cathedral on Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. Interment followed at the cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury. In lieu of flowers, the family said that donations to the Class of '53 Dominic Repetto Scholarship Fund, Alumni Association, South Side High School, 140 Shepard Street, Rockville Centre, NY 11570 would be appreciated.
