On June 28, Charles Parsley of Old Mill Court was sentenced at the U.S. Eastern District Court to fifteen additional years in federal prison for distributing narcotics and the possession of a defaced handgun. The sentencing stems from his original 2010 arrest.

In 2012 Parsley, a member of the Bloods gang, was convicted of the murder of a Yonkers woman and the attempted murder of her boyfriend. He was sentenced to serve 75 years for the 2010 incident. The June 28 sentence will be served in addition to this.

Rockville Centre Police Commissioner, Charles Gennario, was pleased with the sentence and praised the efforts of those responsible for the result.

“I appreciate the hard work that went into this case from those involved,” he said. “I particularly would like to acknowledge our own Rockville Centre Police Detectives, the F.B.I., the U.S. Attorney’s office, and the Nassau County Police Department.”
