Overcast Police: 19-year-old shot in Rockville Centre

One person was shot around 5 p.m. Thursday on Meehan Avenue in Rockville Centre. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was reported to be in stable condition.

A 19-year-old male was shot in Rockville Centre Thursday evening, according to Rockville Centre police. The teen's injuries are not life-threatening.
The incident happened at 4:57 p.m. while the victim was standing near his vehicle on Meehan Lane, according to the Rockville Centre Police Department's information officer. Evidence was gathered at the scene, and police are continuing to investigate. As of Friday morning, the victim was in stable condition.
A News 12 video taken at the site of the shooting shows heavily armed Nassau County and Rockville Centre police officers gathered in a parking lot.
