Vineyard Church reschedules Community Party

Their plans for the free Community Party on the Village Green in August were dashed by inclement weather but undeterred, the Vineyard Church has rescheduled the event for Sept. 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The community is invited to join in activities that include free raffles including grand prizes of two iPod Touches, a bouncy castle, children’s activities, face painting, live DJ, games and races, a watermelon eating contest, free family photos, Town of Hempstead Children’s ID program, and plenty of refreshments — hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, Italian ices, Starbuck’s coffee.
