Arrests

Paul Marrero, 34, of Ashland Drive, Huntington, was arrested at 1:35 a.m. on Nov. 24 and charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. Police say they arrested Marrero after he was stopped on Hempstead Avenue for a speeding violation, and was discovered to be driving a car that had been reported stolen in Island Park on Nov. 23 at 2:30 p.m.

Bonnie Glennen, 61 of Loftus Avenue, Oceanside was arrested on Nov. 24 at 5:30 p.m. and charged with petit larceny. According to police, Glennen was arrested after security guards at the HomeGoods Store, 150 N. Village Ave. saw her leaving the store with several table linens and other houseware items that she did not pay for.

Jacqueline Shea, 18, of Land Place, Oceanside was arrested on Nov. 25 at 10:25 a.m. and charged with petit larceny. Police say that Shea was arrested after she was seen on a security video camera taking $446 of clothing items from the National Jean Company, 316A Sunrise Highway where she is employed as a sales person.

On Nov. 25 at 5:10 p.m., Andy Daniel, 44, of Moore Circle, Freeport and Edward Horton, 51, of Orbit Lane, Uniondale were arrested and charged with possession of a forged instrument and attempted grand larceny. Police said both men were arrested at Citibank, 297 Merrick Road, after an employee at the bank notified them that the men were attempting to pass a forged check in the amount of $24,284.50.

Jose Rodriguez, 25, of Lenox Road, Baldwin, was arrested on Nov. 26 at 2:10 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident. According to police, they arrested Rodriquez after they saw him running from the scene of a one-car accident on DeMott Avenue opposite Rockwin Road during which he drove his car into the front yard of 447 DeMott Ave. When he was caught by police a short distance from the scene, officers said they determined that Rodriguez had been driving while intoxicated. He was not injured in the accident.

Jared Fisher, 28, of Yale Avenue, Lakeview was arrested at 2:55 a.m. on Nov. 26 and charged with criminal mischief. Police said they arrested Fisher after employees of Kasey's, 23 N. Park Ave. saw him throw a glass and break the front window of the bar. The employees then caught Fisher as he tried to flee, and held him for police.

Neil Francois, 29, of 95th Street, Brooklyn was arrested at 4 a.m. on Nov. 28 and charged with harassment, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Police said they arrested Francois after seeing him push and shove several people involved in a disturbance in front of Kasey's, 23 N. Park Ave., and after refusing to comply with their repeated requests to stop his behavior and leave the area, he physically arrested officers' attempts to take him into custody.

Auto theft

On Nov. 24 at 8:50 p.m., a woman reported to police that someone stole her 1991 Honda Accord that had been parked in Municipal Parking Field 2.

Criminal mischief

At 1:50 a.m. on Nov. 27, a Schuyler Avenue resident told police that someone scratched the paint on both sides of her car, which had been parked at her house.

On Nov. 28 at 11:10 a.m., a man told police that someone punctured all four tires on his car which was parked in the lot at 111 S. Centre Ave.

Larcenies

On Nov. 23 at 4:30 p.m. an Atkinson Road resident told police that someone entered his unlocked car, which was parked in his driveway, and stole several items of clothing from inside the vehicle.

At 3:50 p.m. on Nov. 27 a resident of Whitby Court reported to police that someone stole a bicycle from his garage.

On Nov. 28 at 1:55 p.m., a resident of S. Forest Avenue told police that he was defrauded out of $1,900 by an unidentified person when he received fraudulent money orders in payment for a Craigslist Internet sale of furniture.
