People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.

Arrests

After an investigation by Nassau County Fourth Squad detectives, Rockville Centre's Anti-Crime Unit arrested Lilbert Eason, 49, of Old Mill Court on April 7 and charged him with five counts of grand larceny in conjunction with thefts that allegedly occurred throughout Nassau County. Eason is accused of stealing from CVS drugstores in the Five Towns and Oceanside areas.

Andrew M. Rowland, 19, of Westminster Road was arrested on April 8 near Hillside Avenue and charged with criminal trespass. Rockville Centre police say that during their investigation and Rowland’s arrest, they recovered a quantity of cigarettes allegedly among the items stolen from 149 N. Park Ave.

Burglaries

On April 8, the owner of Art Flowers, 41 N. Village Ave. told police that between April 5 at 6 p.m. and April 7 at 1 p.m. someone damaged a rear door lock and entered the building without permission. At the time of the report he did not know if anything had been stolen.

At 4:04 a.m. on April 8 there was a reported burglary at 176 N. Village Ave., Suite A1.

Thirty four minutes later, there was a reported burglary at 149 N. Park Ave.

Criminal mischief

On April 5, the business manager of St. Agnes Cathedral reported to police that someone damaged five rear windows valued at approximately $1,000 between April 2 at 7 p.m. and April 3 at 6 a.m.

On April 6, between 2:45 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., two people reported that their car’s tires were damaged by someone with a sharp object while parked in Municipal Parking Field 1.

Larcenies

On April 5, a resident of Woodland Avenue, S. Hempstead, reported that between 8 and 9 a.m. on April 4, someone stole credit cards

On April 8 a landscaper told police that while he was working at Molloy College, 1000 Hempstead Ave., someone stole a leaf blower valued at $600.
