People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.

Arrests

Stephen P. Green, 31, of Clinton Avenue, was arrested on June 26 at 1:22 p.m. on Sunrise Highway and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Nicholas J. Morin, 24, of Hempstead Avenue was arrested at 1:22 p.m. on June 26 on Sunrise Highway and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Anthony A. Foster, 40, of Fulton Avenue, Hempstead was arrested on June 26 at 1:22 p.m. on Sunrise Highway and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Forgery

On June 21, a Baldwin resident told police that someone forged a business check and attempted to obtain cash without authorization.

On June 21, the owner of Long Island Outdoorsman, 434 Sunrise Highway, reported that someone forged a business check and got funds without authorization.

Burglary

On June 24, the superintendent of the Rockville-Lewis Apartments reported to police that between June 14 at 12 a.m. and June 24 at 1 p.m., someone damaged a basement door a 4. N. Lewis Place. There was no reported loss at the time of the report.

Larcenies

On June 24, a woman from Lynbrook told police that between 12 a.m. and 12:15 a.m., someone stole her pocketbook while she was at McFadden’s Bar, 210 Merrick Road.

On June 26, a Plainview resident reported that two headlights were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field 1 during the afternoon.

Criminal mischief

On June 24 at 12:30 a.m., a Judson Place resident told police that two men knocked over a marble fountain at her home, resulting in damage to a garden light.

On June 26, a Lido Beach resident reported seeing her ex-boyfriend damage a tire on her new boyfriend’s car while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field 7.
