Three cheers for CJ’s Coffee Shop

To the Editor:

Congratulations on a wonderful and well-deserved story on the 25th anniversary of Rockville Centre’s own CJ’s Coffee Shop (“25 years of breakfast,” June 25-July 1).

CJ’s John, Chris, Laurie and their outstanding staff have been a special and dedicated supporter of our Rockville Centre St. Patrick’s Parade since it started in 1997. They have generously hosted their annual CJ’s St. Patrick’s Breakfast. They open their door the Sunday before the parade and provide an incredible breakfast menu that reflects the many culinary awards they have received. The breakfast has become a significant fundraiser that supports the parade’s charities every year.

CJ’s has been a regular participant in the parade’s annual Taste of Rockville Centre since it started 12 years ago as well. They join with some 30 or more restaurants in showcasing  their best menu items. CJ’s signature offering has no equal — their hot dog/chili dog is the “Best-in-Show.”

In addition to their award-winning menus, they excel in customer service. The statement prominently displayed on their shirts — How can I help you? — says it all, and they do it very well.

The best way to sum this up is to declare that CJ’s is the best little family coffee shop on Long Island.
