Mrs. Maureen McDermott of Rockville Centre is proud to announce the engagement of her daughter Bridget, also the daughter of the late Joseph F. McDermott.

The 2002 South Side High School graduate is set to wed Stephen G. Boyd, son of Richard and Joan Boyd of Valley Stream on Aug. 6 at St. Agnes Cathedral.

Bridget, a 2006 graduate of the University of Miami, is currently working toward her masters degree in Counseling at Queens College. Stephen is the head football coach at Chaminade High School and is a 1994 graduate of Boston College.
