Board of Education annual Election and Budget vote, May 18 in the main gym of South Side High School from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Candidates forum

Candidates for the Board of Education — Dave Meoli, John O’Shea and Gregg Spaulding — will be invited to appear in a candidates forum at 7 p.m. on May 5 in the auditorium of South Side Middle School. The event is sponsored by the PTA Council. The public is invited to come with questions.

H.O.L.L.L.E.R.

Eleventh graders and their families are invited to attend this college workshop and fair on May 17 at 6:45 p.m. at Molloy College for a n insider’s view of the college admissions process. Over 40 colleges will be represented. In case you’re wondering, HOLLLER stands for Hewlett,Oceanside, Lawrence, Long Beach, Lynbrook, East Rockaway and Rockville Centre — the districts that sponsor the event.

RVC Youth Council

Teens and adults in the community are welcome to attend any of the group’s upcoming meetings, all on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in the Rockville Centre Public Library’s downstairs meeting room on May 11, May 25 and June 8.

Booster club

The South Side High School Booster Club will hold its general membership meeting on May 12 at 7 p.m. in Room 112.
