Rockville Centre students participate in Friendship Games

Some 3,000 student athletes from schools throughout Nassau County, including South Side High School, united on Jan. 17 to participate in the 20th anniversary of the annual Friendship Games,sponsored and organized by the Lakeview Youth Federation and the Malverne Union Free School District.
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other famous humanitarians of our time, students came together in the name of friendship and peace to compete in track and field meets throughout the day. The closing ceremony featured some of the day’s best stars, as well as local politicians and honored guests.
