Rockville Centre's Elite dancers know they can dance!

Before its season finale on Aug. 12, Miss Colleen's Elite Dancentre celebrated "National Dance Day," to promote fitness and healthy living on Fox's hit TV show "So You Think You Can Dance."

South Side High School graduate Lindsey Gordon produced a video starring dancers from the Maple Avenue school that producers of the show selected to represent American youth preparing for the day of dance festivities. Her video submission, selected from thousands of entries nationwide, was aired on the show for three consecutive weeks.

Inspired by her achievement, dancers from the school say they plan to continue the momentum toward a "dance revolution," by supporting the Nigel Lythgoe Foundation for the Arts, with $200 they raised by holding a car wash.
