Rockville Centre's students cast their ballots

Posted

As they do every year, approximately 1,400 middle school and elementary students joined their parents at the ballot box on May 18, weighing in on a variety of questions.

To the question of whether they’d like to have school uniforms, 327 middle school students said “no;” 111 voted “yes.”

Covert students were asked what the theme of their 2011 Variety Show should be. The most popular choice was “The Millennium.”

Hewitt students also rejected the idea of school uniforms; Riverside students selected Circus Day as the special event they most wanted at school; students at Watson said they’d most like a snow cone machine at their annual family picnic and Wilson students said they’d like the grand prize of the Wilson Carnival raffle to be an IPod Touch.
