RVC residents flooded the Village Green on Dec. 2 to celebrate the annual tree lighting in unseasonably mild weather. The Rev. Michael Duffy from St. Agnes blessed the enormous tree along the Maple Avenue side of the park.
The South Side Middle School Chorale, South Side High School ‘Choraleers’ and Wind Ensemble performed Christmas tunes like ‘Jingle Bell Rock’ and ‘Deck the Halls.’ Santa Claus even made an appearance riding atop a fire truck while waving as children flocked to the edges of the Village Green.
