Mostly Cloudy Sandel Center honors its woman of the year
A number of village officials, members of the Sandel Senior Center and friends and family were on hand to honor Margarita Fox at the annual Women’s History Month luncheon at the center on March 25.
Fox, the president of Rockville Centre’s Chamber of Commerce, and Mercy Medical Center’s Development, Community Relations and Communications manager, was the designated woman of the year.
Over a delicious lunch, guests were able to meet Fox and hear a number of speakers describe her personal and professional journey. The Sandel Center has an annual tradition of honoring a woman who has made a significant difference in the community. Recent honorees include Mayor Mary Whalen Bossart and Town of Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray, who were both on hand to join Director of Senior Services, Dr. Cyd Charrow, in presenting Fox with the honor.
