Elliott Hecht of Rockville Centre was honored by the State of Israel Bonds during the annual luncheon of its Electrical Industries Division on Dec. 8 at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Manhattan. Hecht is a business representative of Local 3 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a former member of the local’s executive board.
State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli and Israel Bonds President and CEO Joshua Matza were slated to speak at the luncheon, the longest-running industry event in Bonds history. Since 1955, it has produced hundreds of millions of dollars in investment capital to strengthen Israel’s economy.
Hecht’s co-honorees are Stuart Gruman of Hewlett, president of the power and communications products distributor Gallant & Wein, Harold Rosenberg, president and secretary/treasurer of Gallant & Wein, and Carol and Paul Kleinberg, president/CEO and executive vice president of the electrical contracting firm, Kleinberg Electric.
