Twenty eight inches for charity

Livia Kelly 10, left, Marianne Tralongo and Deanna Gavaris, 9, have all donated their hair to charity. Livia and Deanna are fourth grade students in Mrs. O'Sullivan's class at Wilson Elementary School. Miss Tralongo is the teacher assistant in the classroom. Livia donated 10 inches of her hair for the second time to Locks of Love back in October '09. She inspired Miss Tralongo to donate 10 inches of her hair to Pantene the next month and then Deanna Gavaris followed suit by donating 8 inches of her hair to Wigs for Kids in January.

Together they have donated a total of 28 inches of hair to their respective charities. Locks of Love provides hairpieces for financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss. Wigs for Kids serves children suffering from hair loss and Pantene serves Women with hair loss due to cancer.
