The United Church of Rockville Centre ushered in the holiday season on Sunday, with its time-honored tradition, the “White Gift Pageant,” which marks the Second Sunday of Advent.

Rooted in a rich history that spans more than 70 years, this cherished event brought members and friends of the congregation closer together as they embraced their roles in the retelling of the Christmas story through scripture and rhyming verse.

In the spirit of generosity and community outreach, the congregation presented white gifts for New Ground, a distinguished non-profit agency headquartered in Levittown.

New Ground serves as a beacon of hope for individuals and families grappling with housing issues, which aligns with the church's commitment to making a positive impact in local communities.

Following the heartwarming pageant, attendees were invited to partake in festive crafts in the fellowship hall. Members of the congregation, both old and young, came together to decorate Christmas cookies.

The United Church of Rockville Centre, is a progressive, Protestant congregation proudly celebrating its 98th year of ministry. The church remains dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, embracing the core values of compassion, community, and faith. For more information visit UCCRVC.com.
