Just in time for Memorial Day, the Rockville Centre Home Makers completed their annual spring project — producing handmade lap robes — for veterans. For the second year in a row, they donated the robes to the United States Department of Veterans Affairs in Northport. Two of the RVC Home Makers, Julianna Mrakovcich and Paula Mazzola personally delivered the 26 robes on May 6. The co-presidents of the Rockville Centre Home Makers, MaryAnn Grandazza and Lauren Seaman, say they can't thank their wonderful group enough for their time and effort and for their willingness to donate that time and their skills to help others.
