The stockings will then be donated to children’s hospitals and homeless shelters, Modzelewski said. “We really enjoy being able to put a smile on the children’s faces because it’s children who are in hospitals that can’t come home for Christmas,” said Lauren Waldron, a senior who has been in both clubs since seventh grade.

The clubs began collecting items in November and the response was positive. “It’s nice to help somebody, especially this time of year, who’s less fortunate than yourself,” Waldron said.
