Armed man flees with cash, wallet

A man walked into Papa John’s on Merrick Road at 11:30 p.m. on November 30 and pulled out a gun, robbing the lone employee of his wallet and an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

The suspect, described as a black male about 6 feet tall, with long black dreadlocks and wearing a black mask, black hooded shirt, black nylon jacket, dark sunglasses, light blue jeans and tan work boots, reportedly displayed a dark semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the 21-year-old employee. After collecting the wallet and cash, the suspect fled on foot westbound on Merrick Road. The employee was not injured.
