Alleged carjacking on Central Court in Valley Stream

A car theft crew unsuccessfully tried to steal a 2023 Range Rover of a man, 32, in broad daylight on April 9 in Valley Stream, according to police.

Five men allegedly approached the driver of the parked car on Central Court while he was talking on his cell phone with the driver’s door open  around 4 p.m.

One of the men grabbed the driver while the others began rummaging through the car. The alleged robbers eventually gave up after a struggle broke out between them and the driver, allegedly running away toward Seaton Gate when they got into another vehicle car described by police as a Toyota Camry before heading east on Seaton Gate. No injuries or losses were reported.
