Baseball League President Bob Inzerillo was joined by Mayor Ed Fare, village Justice Robert Bogle and trustee John Tufarelli to honor the Giants, one of the championship teams from the 2013 season.

Players from the Valley Stream Baseball League’s top teams were honored at the annual championship dinner last Sunday at the VFW hall. Trophies were handed out to the three best teams from the 2013 season.
The Giants captured the Rivera Division crown, with the Yankees taking home the Wright Division championship. The Cubs enjoyed a much more successful season than their Major League Baseball counterparts, winning the Jeter Division.
Individual awards will be presented at opening day for the 2014 season in the spring.
