Two dozen Central High School students hit the runway last Thursday night for the Central/Memorial PTSA’s annual fashion show fundraiser.

The event was held at the Coral House in Baldwin. Money raised will be used toward scholarships for graduating seniors and PTSA-funded programs throughout the year.

The senior boys were dressed by Di Re Formal Wear of Franklin Square. Girls’ wardrobes came from Estelle’s Dressy Dresses of Farmingdale.

Senior Matt Munroe noted all the people taking pictures as he strutted down the runway. “Honestly, I felt like a star,” he said. “It was a nice experience. I enjoyed myself.”

Addison Augustin said the seniors just had fun being themselves. “The experience was fun just posing,” he said.

The fashion show was organized by event coordinator Annette Gray. The Central High School jazz ensemble and Memorial Junior High Tri-M orchestra performed as the models prepared for their walk before more than 100 audience members.
