Halloween took center stage in Valley Stream last weekend with a host of events. On Saturday, the Henry Waldinger Memorial Library held its annual costume parade, followed by the village recreation department’s Halloween Happenings at Hendrickson Park, which featured hayrides and pumpkin decorating.
On Halloween, the Valley Stream Historical Society held its costume contest for kids and adults at the Pagan-Fletcher house.
