Early morning robbery at Valley Stream eatery

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Valley Stream restaurant early Friday morning.

According to Nassau County Police, an unknown man walked into Bronx BBQ on West Sunrise Highway at 3 a.m. on Sept. 2 and approached the restaurant manager. The robber, holding a silver handgun, demanded money and threatened to shoot the 48-year-old manager in the foot. He fired one shot into the floor, missing the victin’s foot.

The robber took an unknown amount of cash and fled through a back door. He entered a black car which headed westbound on Sunrise Highway. The suspect is described as a black male, with no further description available.

The restaurant manager was not hurt.
