District 13

Educational foundation seeks members

The Valley Stream School District 13 Educational Foundation began its 14th year of service to the community on Sept. 16. Future meeting dates are Nov. 18, Jan. 13, 2011, March 17, 2011, and May 19, 2011. Meetings are held in the James A. Dever School Library at 3:45 p.m. All members of the community are invited to attend.

Membership is $5 per year, per family. Local organizations are also encouraged to join and send representatives to meetings.

The District 13 Educational Foundation is a non-profit group with the goal of providing financial and creative support for the educational programs for the children of the district. Members help with fundraising strategies and event planning.
