Fire truck rides at Hendrickson Park

A light dusting of snow didn’t stop the Valley Stream Fire Department on Saturday from giving rides to enthusiastic children from the neighborhood at Hendrickson Park.
Several children and their families climbed aboard the massive trucks — decorated with festive garland and Christmas wreaths — and learned about the duties and responsibilities of firefighters. The annual event was part of the Village of Valley Stream’s Winterfest.
