The Valley Stream Five Towns Girl Scouts Association held its 2017 bridging awards ceremony on Monday, May 22 at Wheeler Avenue Elementary School.
Seven scouts earned the Bronze Award — the third highest award in the Girl Scouts. Twenty girls also bridged to the next level of Girl Scouts.
Attending the event was Dermond Thomas, Joann Antun, Joan Bompane, from The Girl Scouts of Nassau County. The girls each received a citation from Nassau County officials as recognition for their hard work.
