American Legion Post 854 hosted a Memorial Day service on May 29 to honor those lost in war. A new brick Walk of Honor was unveiled outside of the legion hall on Roosevelt Avenue.
On May 28, the Central High School Alumni Association hosted its annual Memorial Day service in front of the school. Alumni and local officials honored Valley Stream graduates who made the ultimate sacrifice.
