North H.S. students run food drive

North High School students collected more than 300 items at a food drive on Feb. 12 to benefit the Interfaith Nutrition Network in Hempstead.

North High School students held a food drive on Feb. 12 to collect non-perishable items for the Interfaith Nutrition Network in Hempstead.
Two groups of students from the school’s Physical Education Leadership class volunteered at the building’s two entrances to collect donations from classmates and faculty members. The event was commonly referred to as a “Souper Bowl,” and resulted in the filling of two shopping carts with more than 300 items.
The class will further support the INN on March 30, when students plan to visit the facility to deliver more donations and offer assistance.
