Police seek Valley Stream NEFCU robber

Police are seeking a man who robbed the Nassau Educator's Federal Credit Union branch in Valley Stream on Monday. According to police, shortly after 1 p.m. the subject entered the credit union and handed a note to a teller demanding cash. He fled with an undetermined amount of money.

The bank is located on East Merrick Road. None on the 15 employees or five customers present were hurt.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s or 40s, 5-foot-6 wearing a red-zippered hooded sweatshirt, jeans and gloves. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS.
