Robbery on Highland Road in Valley Stream

Police are seeking two men who robbed a group of people at a home in Valley Stream early Friday morning.

According to police, a group of people were talking in the garage of a home on Highland Road, when at 1:15 a.m. two men stormed in. One of the subjects was armed with a handgun. The two demanded cash and other personal property from the group.

They fled in an unknown direction with proceeds. The suspects are described as two black men, 18 to 23 years old, 5-foot-6. One was wearing dark clothes and a baseball cap with a red liner and carrying a multicolored back pack. The other was wearing dark clothes and a hooded sweatshirt and armed with a black handgun.

Police say the garage area was open at the time of the robbery. None of the people inside were hurt.

Highland Road is located between Kent and Dogwood roads, near Memorial Junior High School.
