Snow postpones several Valley Stream meetings

The snowstorm that hit Valley Stream Wednesday night into Thursday morning has forced the postponement of two school meetings.

District 24's Board of Education meeting, scheduled for Jan. 26, will now be held on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. There will be a work session only, with discussion on the district's possible participation in a consolidation study.

The Valley Stream Central High School District's superintendent search community forum, scheduled for Jan. 27, has also been postponed. It will now be held on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 8:30 p.m. in Memorial Junior High School's cafeteria.
