Valley Stream Herald seeks summer intern

The Valley Stream Herald will provide a college intern with a valuable opportunity to learn — first hand — the challenges and rewards of reporting and publishing community news, writing feature stories, covering local events and communicating information that people can use. 

The intern’s first priority will be helping with the revision of the Valley stream Almanac and Newcomer’s Guide. Responsibilities will include fact checking, updating and freshening the guide for 2010. The intern may be exposed to all aspects of newspaper operations, including reporting and editing. The summer internship is unpaid.
