V.S. American Legion organizing bus trip to Calverton

Valley Stream American Legion Post 854 is organizing its first annual bus ride to Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, to take place on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Riders will need to arrive at the post’s parking lot at 51 Roosevelt Ave. in Valley Stream by 8:30 a.m. Bagels, rolls and coffee will be provided. Lunch and water will also be provided.

To join the trip, call Donna Moore at (516) 825-0037. Be prepared to provide the name, section and grave number of the person you will visit.

The bus is not wheelchair accessible, but walkers and canes are acceptable. Seating is limited, and reservations should be made before August 15.
