V.S. student vocalists selected for conference

Two local high school students were selected to perform in a prestigious national music conference in April, the Valley Stream Central High School District announced.
Sabrina Roy, a senior at North High School, and Annie Fitzgerald, a junior at Central High School, were picked to participate in the National Association for Music Education All-Eastern Division Conference, which will take place in Providence, R.I. from April 9 to 12. Roy will join the mixed chorus and Fitzgerald will join the treble voice chorus.
The conference is held every two years and features top high school musicians from each state. The association, which is more than 100 years old, is one of the world’s largest arts education organizations.
