Mostly Cloudy Congregation Beth Tikvah lights up the menorah

Rabbi Moshe Weisblum, who holds a doctorate degree from the Baltimore Hebrew Institute at Towson University, led the children of the congregation in lighting menorahs both inside and outside.

Congregation Beth Tikvah, located on Woodbine Avenue in Wantagh, has a Hebrew school and lit the menorah with the children of the school.

The Hebrew School of Congregation Beth Tikvah in Wantagh recently held a Hanukkah menorah lighting ceremony. Rabbi Moshe Weisblum led the lighting.
As the story of Hanukkah goes, one day's worth of oil miraculously lasted for eight days. Rabbi Weisblum explained to the children the origins of Hanukkah and how it relates to the way the holiday is celebrated today.
In addition to lighting the menorah, the children sang holiday songs, baked latkes and received chocolate coins and gifts.
