Nassau County Police have arrested an Indiana man, who they say works as an air traffic controller in New York, with gun and drug possession following a traffic stop in Wantagh on Wednesday night.

Breen Peck, 52, was charged with illegal weapon and drug possession after he was stopped at Byron and Willow streets at about 10:20 p.m. on Dec. 9.

Peck, according to the Washington Post, directed the plane of First Lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden, the vice president's wife, into the turbulence of a military jet in 2011. The Post also reported that a year earlier his directions caused a near miss for a plane a congressman was riding on.

Peck reportedly had two loaded guns in his car and crystal meth in his pocket during the stop in Wantagh. He was arraigned in court on Thursday.
